Doon Forest

Doon Forest is an upland, mostly conifer forest that lies between Lisnaskea, Brookeborough and Roslea

Activities

The Ulster Way and the Slieve Beagh Way share a common route through this forest. Walkers may also use forest roads for casual walking.

There are fishing stands at Lough Corry. You will need a valid rod licence and permit.

There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.

About this forest

This 600 hectare forest forms part of a larger connected mass of forests. These include Carnmore, Jenkin, Knocks, Tully, Mullaghfad, Grogey, Crocknagrally and Fardross Forests. They cover 8,000 hectares lying into the Slieve Beagh plateau.

How to get there

There is access to Lough Corry next to Carnmore view point, four miles from Dernawilt cross on the B36 Donagh to Roslea Road.
