Creggan Forest
These are upland forests mainly for timber production. The public are welcome to visit this forest on foot.
Activities
The main Creggan block is beside An Creagán Centre which hosts group meetings, educational courses and community events. It has catering and accommodation facilities. There is a circular waymarked walking trail in the forest with An Creagán Centre as the focal point.
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations. Pay attention to safety signage.
About this forest
Creggan Forest totals 660 hectares and is made up of a number of forest blocks around Creggan along the main Cookstown to Omagh Road. The forest blocks are Creggan Wood, Killygillian North, Killygillian South and Formil.
How to get there
This forest is on the main A505 Omagh to Cookstown road, about 15 miles from Omagh.
