Carrickaholten Forest
This 515 hectare upland forest is four miles from Killeter village. Carrickaholten Forest is on the right as you travel over Scraghy Hill on the Ederney to Castlederg road.
Activities
There are no facilities for recreational activities. The public are welcome to visit this forest on foot.
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations. Pay attention to safety signage.
About this forest
This is a mainly coniferous forest managed for commercial timber production. There is no parking available. To make sure access for forestry vehicles, visitors must not park at gateways or entrances.
How to get there
You can enter the forest by the Aghamore and Aghascrebagh roads from the Ederney to Castlederg road.
