Aghyaran Forest

There are no recreational facilities in Aghyaran Forest. Walkers may use the existing road network to amble through this small woodland with its old disused watermill.

Activities

There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations. Pay attention to safety signage.

About this forest

This forest of 418 hectares is outside Aghyaran village and is mainly coniferous. There is also small native woodland with some very large beech trees beside the picturesque remains of an old house and mill.

How to get there

The forest is located two miles from Aghyaran and can be accessed by the Aghyaran and Altamullan roads.
