Scrabo Country Park, Newtownards
Enjoy spectacular views of Strangford Lough and North Down from Scrabo Country Park which is at the top of Scrabo Hill. Enjoy walks through woodlands and around old quarries which are of special interest to geologists and a breeding site for kestrels and peregrine falcons.
In light of the Met Office red weather warning for severe winds on Friday 24 January, you are strongly advised not to visit any forests, country parks and nature reserves until the weather warning is over. Sites will be closed to vehicle access as far as possible during the warning, as will public facilities, including visitor centres, cafés and toilets.
