Activities
Ballymoyer Forest has mostly commercially planted conifer trees and some older broadleaved trees dating back to the days of a former privately owned estate. The public are welcome to visit this forest on foot at any time. There are no other facilities.
Public access may be temporarily closed or restricted during some work operations so check this page for details before you visit the forest. At these times, pay attention to safety signage.
How to get there
The forest is about one mile from Whitecross. From Newry, follow the A25 towards Bessbrook before turning right onto the B133, Millvale Road, and travelling for three miles. At Ewart's crossroads turn left onto Kingsmill Road and follow the road through Whitecross.
