Driving test public health information for driving instructors
If you are an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or Approved Motorcycle Instructor (AMI), this page has important public health information about measures being taken by the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) to help reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19) during practical driving tests.
ADIs and AMIs, like all businesses, should follow the latest published guidance to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in what is still a very challenging time.
Information is also available at:
Practical driving tests
To help driving examiners try to keep a safe distance the DVA has changed its examiners’ programmes.
DVA may also have different working patterns so it can allow time between tests to help avoid too many people gathering (crowding) in the car park.
Test times may be different to what you are used to, you should check carefully.
Don’t arrive at the test centre more than five minutes early.
