Angling at Portna Canal

The canal stretch is readily accessible and is a popular pike fishery. Pike, perch, roach, bream and eels are abundant. Fishing at Portna is restricted to the stretch below the locks. Upstream of the locks is inaccessible and dangerous due to the rocky banks.
