Muff Glen Forest is nestled in a valley, half a mile south of Eglinton.

The forest is accessible on foot by a gravel path, with views of the waterfall at the southern end of the trail.
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.
About this forest
With 34 hectares of mixed woodland, which straddles a valley alongside the Muff River, the forest provides a well used facility for the local residents in Eglinton and surrounding areas.
Muff Glen is predominantly Japanese and hybrid larch, all planted in the 1960s. There are many areas of native broadleaves growing in the less accessible areas.
How to get there
This forest is situated half a mile south of Eglinton on the B118.
The car park is accessed via the main Limavady to Londonderry road A2, turning off for Eglinton.
