Grange Park Forest
Windyhill Road leading to Grange Park Forest, is also known as the 'Murderhole Road' in recollection of the reputed activities by highwaymen who frequented the area in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Activities
The Ulster Way/North Sperrins Way passes through the forest. There are no recreation facilities or parking areas for casual visitors.
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.
About this forest
Anyone intending to travel by car should park safely off the public road. Visitors must not block forestry vehicle access by parking at gateways or entrances.
The forest is open every day from 8.00 am until sunset for pedestrian access only.
How to get there
From Coleraine follow the B201 Windyhill Road. The forest is visible on the right side heading towards Limavady.
