Cam Forest
This forest consists mainly of conifer species such as sitka and Norway spruce, larch and lodgepole pine set on the mountainside overlooking the Roe Valley.
Activities
Recreation in Cam is suitable for those wanting good access through largely unspoilt forests. The Ulster Way takes advantage of the forest roads in Cam, and meanders through the forest for about four miles.
There is a small horse riding trail with two main loops, one is just over two miles and the other almost three miles, which together gives Forest Service Permit Holders roughly five miles of horse trails off public roads.
Forest Service
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.
