Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve (Downpatrick)

Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve is along the Quoile River which flows into Strangford Lough. There are opportunities for bird watching from the riverside path and at the bird hide overlooking the pondage. Includes a nature garden beside the visitor centre.

Free entry, no car parking charges

Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve is very close to Quoile Countryside Centre outside Downpatrick. It's about 22 miles south east of Belfast City centre and is signposted on the A7 road that goes from Belfast to Downpatrick.

There is limited parking at the countryside centre, but there are also two car parks along the Quay Road and at the nearby Quoile Road car park.

The reserve is open every day but the countryside centre has seasonal opening.
