The steep sides of the glens have mature oak and ash with rowan, hazel, hawthorn and holly below the canopy.

Banagher Glen Nature Reserve leads to Altnaheglish Reservoir with a walk along a surfaced road from the car park to Banagher Dam. Access all year by parking just outside the reserve's gate.

Banagher Glen is about four miles south of Dungiven in County Londonderry/Derry - it's at the end of Magheramore Road.
