Risk and Regulatory Compliance Academy with EY
If you want to learn life-long skills that will equip you for jobs of the future, the Risk & Regulatory Compliance Academy with EY is for you. These academies are a great way to get industry-leading training before entering the workplace or changing career.
Training
The Risk and Regulatory Compliance Academy with EY is fully funded by the Department for the Economy and delivered in partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College (BMC).
The Academy is a six-week intensive training course and will be a mixture of classroom and online learning.
Candidates chosen to join the Academy will learn and develop skills and knowledge in:
- risk and regulatory challenges
- financial crime and money laundering
- FCA code of business
- data visualisation
- Microsoft Office Specialist, Excel Associate
You will be entitled to claim travel expenses in relation to travel to and from BMC. Successful applicants will require appropriate IT access in order to link to the online tuition.
If you successfully finish the course, you'll be guaranteed a job interview with EY. However, successful completion of the academy is not a guarantee of gaining employment.
Who can apply
No previous experience is needed but you must:
- be at least 18 years or over
- hold an honours degree in any subject
- be eligible to work in the UK
- have the required IT access to link to the online tuition
Desirable citeria
As EY work with global clients, some of the roles will require candidates who are proficient in a second language, with a specific focus on:
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Arabic
- Russian
- Vietnamese
For some roles you may need to be eligible for UK security clearance.
In the event of a large number of applications being received EY reserve the right to enhance the minimum criteria, such as degree relevance and work experience, if necessary, in order to generate a manageable shortlist for interviews.

The application process will involve the completion of the online application form.
All trainees who are offered a job with EY will have to go through intense screening and checks as part of the onboarding process. This includes fit and proper, independence and medical and pre-employment checks.

Completed applications must be returned by 12 noon (UK time) on Monday 6 January 2025.
Interview and training dates
Interviews will take place on 20, 21 and 22 January 2025.
An online assessment will take place alongside the interview.
Academy training will run from Monday 10 February to Friday 21 March 2025.
Applicants should be available for the whole of the training period and any previous commitments should be listed in your application.

Training is from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday for the whole of the Academy.
Applicants need to be able to commit to the full-time training as outlined and be available for any on-site training that is required.
