Angling at Ballinamallard River

This is a small river with trout as the main species. There are also some salmon from mid-July when conditions are suitable. In the early part of the season there is good fishing using dry fly.

Wild salmon and trout river fishery

The Riversdale Stretch is an attractive angling water situated in pleasant woodland. The river benefits from exclusive managed stocking of salmon fry. Day tickets for the upper stretch are available from the Ballinamallard and District Angling Club.

The entrance is off the A35 Enniskillen to Irvinestown road at Kilgortnaleague Bridge. The fishery is on both banks for 0.93 miles downstream of Kilgortnaleague. There is a small parking area at the entrance to the side road next to Kilgortnaleague Bridge.
