Check someone’s NI driving licence information
Use this service to check someone’s Northern Ireland driving licence information, for example the vehicles they can drive or any penalty points or disqualifications they may have.
Before you start
You can only use this service to check a Northern Ireland driving licence. If you want to check a Great Britain licence from the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) go to: View or share your driving licence information - gov.uk
You will need:
- the eight characters of their driving licence number
- a check code from the driver
You must use the code within 21 days of the code being created. You can only use the code once – you will have to get another code to do another check.
You must have the right information from the driver to do a check.
It’s a criminal offence to get someone else’s personal information without their permission.
