Details

This is the first of the Minute Books for which the physical original is held by the Derry City Council Archive in the Harbour Museum, Derry.

There is a short entry in this volume, made during a meeting of the Corporation held on 30 November 1845 (see page 61), which speaks of the Potato Famine in Ireland. This appears to be the only time the ‘Famine’ is referred to throughout the minute volumes.

Note that the text is often pale and difficult to read in this volume.
