Details

The Sir Robert Wilmot papers include around 6500 photocopies of the papers, 1730-1772, of Sir Robert Wilmot, 1st Bt (around 1708-1782), of Osmaston Hall, Derby, mainly as 'Resident Secretary' (residence in this connection being in London) to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from June 1740 to June 1772. The originals are in the Derbyshire Record Office, Matlock.
