HGV road user levy

The heavy goods vehicle (HGV) levy makes sure all HGV’s 12 tonnes and over make a contribution when they are used on UK roads.

Reformed HGV levy

A reformed HGV levy has been introduced with a new structure and rates.

For non-UK vehicles, operators and drivers are responsible for payment of the levy.

For UK registered vehicles, the levy is collected automatically by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
