Angling at Dunalis Reservoir, Coleraine
Dunalis Reservoir is a 10 acre spring-fed rainbow trout fishery which is open all year round.
Health and safety review
The reservoir is not suitable for wading as all but a short section of the bank drops off into deeper water. The whole perimeter can be accessed on foot but some of the walking is on uneven or wet ground and a short stretch needs wading through shallow water.
There are no specific facilities for disabled anglers. The exit by car onto the Windyhill Road has poor visibility.
Anglers are advised to take care to make sure the road is clear in both directions before exiting.

General information
The lake is stocked and fished by Coleraine Anglers Association. There is access around the lake with several seats and shelters. Due to narrow banks, casting is restricted in many areas. Day tickets must be bought before you fish.
Argulus (fish lice) is endemic in the lake and anglers are asked to kill any trout with large amounts of lice. The presence of lice has cut the number of trout that can be stocked in the warmer months in the last couple of years. However, the winter fishing can be good and trout overwinter well.
Four day tickets Costing £5.00 per day are available to DAERA Game Permit holders. Four tickets at £10.00 are available to anglers who do not have the DAERA permit.
You must buy day tickets before you fish - they cannot be pre-booked. You can buy day tickets from the following tackle shops in Coleraine:

There is a car park beside the dam wall.
