Endorsements to fish both DAERA and Loughs Agency

You can buy an 'endorsement' which allows you to use your rod licence in both the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and the Loughs Agency fishing areas.

Endorsements

DAERA and Loughs Agency each sell angling rod licences for their specific areas. Anglers who've bought a 'full season game rod licence' from either DAERA or Loughs Agency can buy an endorsement costing £1.00 which allows them to fish in both DAERA and Loughs Agency areas.

You can only buy an endorsement if you have a 'full season game rod licence' from DAERA or Loughs Agency. (To buy a full season game rod licence scroll down to the section below called: 'Buy a full season rod licence'.)

The type of endorsement you buy depends on which full season game rod licence you have bought. If you hold a Loughs Agency full season game rod licence then you should buy a DAERA endorsement at the following link:

DAERA or Loughs Agency full season game rod licences can be bought online or through distributors (for example a tackle shop). To fish legally in Northern Ireland you need both a rod licence and a permit or day ticket. The permit or day ticket gives the angler permission to fish in the chosen water.
