Before you start
You'll need:
- the date of your most recent marriage, civil partnership or divorce
- dates of any time spent living or working abroad
- your bank or building society details
- the invitation code from the letter about getting your State Pension
If you do not have your letter and you’ll reach State Pension age in the next 3 months, you can request an invitation code
You can find out how any personal information you send to Department for Communities when using this service will be handled by viewing their privacy notice.
You could also be eligible for Pension Credit even if you have a pension, savings or own your own home. Even a small award of Pension Credit can provide access to a wide range of other benefits as shown in this short video

If you live in England, Scotland or Wales you will need to get your State Pension with GOV.UK:
If you live overseas, you may have received an invitation letter to claim. You should follow the instructions on this letter to make your claim. If you haven't received an invitation letter and want to make a claim, contact the International Pension Centre for advice.
