If your enquiry is research related, provide PRONI with as much information as you can.

Who are you enquiring about - is it a specific person or a family?
When was the event (for example marriage, baptism, emigration, court case)? For wills, supply the date and place of probate rather than the ID number.
Where did the event occur or where did the family come from (townland or parish)?
What type of record are you interested in (for example court, hospital, church)? If you are enquiring about a church record, include the religious denomination of the church.
PRONI reference - provide it if you know it (for example BG/7/G).
