Legal administration part-time collaborative academy
If you’re interested in a career in Legal Administration,13 part-time training opportunities are currently available at Southern Regional College (SRC). If you successfully finish the academy, you will get a recognised administration qualification and be prepared for a potential Legal Administration job role with one of the supporting companies.
Training
The Legal Administration Academy is a ten-week, part-time training course to prepare you for a job role in the legal sector under the Assured Skills Programme.
Those selected for the Academy will study for a OCN NI Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration Skills.
If you successfully finish the course, you will be guaranteed a job interview with a supporting company.
Several of the supporting companies have indicated that they will offer the opportunity of part-time hours to successful applicants.
Those taking part in the Academy will get £87.50 weekly training allowance for the duration of the Academy, as well as help with travelling and childcare costs.
Who can apply
Applicants must:
- show strong ability in both written and spoken English to make sure they can effectively communicate in a legal administrative environment
- show organisational skills, such as experience managing tasks, deadlines or workflows
- show practical knowledge of using Microsoft Word and email
- be at least 18-years-old by Monday 4 November 2024
- be allowed to work in the UK at the time of applying

Completed applications must be returned by 12 noon on Friday 11 October 2024.
Interview and training dates
SRC will ask successful applicants to come to an information session on Monday 21 October 2024 at 6.30 pm at the college's Newry campus.
Interviews will take place from Tuesday 22 October 2024.
Training, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, will begin on Monday 4 November 2024, and end on Friday 24 January 2025. Successful applicants must be available to attend training at SRC's Newry campus for the length of the course.
There will be a two-week break in training over the Christmas period from 23 December 2024 to 3 January 2025.
