Contravention code 43 is summarised as parked in a parking place designated for doctors’ vehicles.

Doctor's bay

Contravention code 43 shall be used for any vehicle (other than a doctor’s vehicle) seen to be parked in a Doctor's Bay. No observation period will be applied.

are Blue Badge holders exempt? No

Exemptions to enforcement

Vehicles (other than doctors’ vehicles) are not permitted to park in a Doctors’ Bay with the following exemptions:

council/ government department in pursuance of statutory duties
emergency services (fire, police, ambulance, customs)
road maintenance
statutory undertaking (NIE Networks, NI Water, BT, and so on)
