Further details of contravention code 34

Contravention code 34 is used for vehicles parked in bus lane during operational hours.

Bus lanes

is loading/ unloading permitted? No
are Blue Badge holders exempt? No

Exemptions to enforcement

During the operating hours vehicles may not park in a bus lane with the following exemptions:

emergency services
council/ government departments in pursuance of statutory duties
by or on behalf of the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company
universal service provider (for example, postal and parcel deliveries)
statutory undertakers (NIE, Water, BT, Gas and so on)
in connection with any building, repair or demolition work
removal of any obstruction to traffic
